Human Nature
This collection of images is an extract from a book project, which brings together ten years of seemingly unrelated photographs often shot alongside a specific project with a precise agenda. In retrospect these images constitute a celebration of the medium of photography and its ability to recognise the world around us as a representational system. Photography makes transparent processes of perception opaque. It materializes perception. It does so by applying a system to reality: The system of flattening three-dimensional space, of extracting sound and movement. These reductive processes are also that which constitutes the continuing strength of the medium of photography.
