Getting Lost

Getting Lost (2005-2007) consists of a series of photographs that captured Kögelsberger’s failed attempts at getting herself lost in landscapes that represent idealised notions of untouched wilderness. The work was shot using the light of distress flares in a performative interaction with the landscape and as a marker for the of the impossibility of the notion of untouched wilderness.
